Andrew Ferrett
Director / Producer
Director and producer of multiple award-winning history documentaries and films, including Emmy winners Philadelphia: The Great Experiment and Before Hollywood. A specialist in dramatic re-creations and an historian of film and media, Andrew brings deep inquiry to his subjects. He is also the director and producer of For the Common Good, a multipart series on the early American women who shaped the nation.

Nathaniel Popkin
Writer / Producer
Author of four books on Philadelphia and the co-editor of the anthology Who Will Speak for America, Nathaniel is also a co-founder of the public history website Hidden City and the supervising producer of the Song of Philadelphia Podcast. A novelist and urban historian, he is writer and producer of For the Common Good.

Michael Boatman
Narrator
Film and television actor, native of Chicago. Known for The Good Fight, The Good Wife, and Spin City, among many other shows and films. Author and longtime voice of Walter Mosley novels. Winner of GLAAD and NAACP awards.

Sam Katz
Executive Producer
Founder of History Making Productions in 2008, Sam has produced and directed award winning films, including Gradually, then Suddenly: The Bankruptcy of Detroit, winner of the Library of Congress/Ken Burns Prize for Film. He is the co-founder of the Histories Collaborative of Philadelphia.

Rachel Stewart
Editor
Adjunct Professor of film at Temple University. HMP’s editor for twelve years, her credits include multiple Emmys. She is the editor of Library of Congress/Ken Burns Prize finalist Beethoven in Beijing and Ten Times Better, featured on PBS’s American Masters.

Jon Kohl
Producer / Editor
Adjunct Professor of film at Drexel University. Director of Emmy-winning Cecil’s People, about civil rights leader Cecil B. Moore. A 13-year HMP editorial veteran, responsible for project technology, editing, and archives. Jon received archival training at Temple’s Special Collections Research Center.

Britney Coleman
Festival Programming Manager
Britney operates the BE Creative Marketing Studio, which among numerous projects has co-led and managed “Legacy Reclaimed: A 7th Ward Tribute,” celebrating Philadelphia's historic 7th Ward. Former Director of Integrated Marketing Programs at Visit Philadelphia, Britney is founder of the collective Magic Makers.

Daniel Slatkin
Composer
A composer of film, television and concert music, Daniel’s work has been performed around the world, including his most recent composition, “Voyager 130,” by the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl. He has scored "Left Hand Man" and "Awaken: The Morgan Hoffmann Story" for ESPN, and is composer of HMP’S Gradually, Then Suddenly and forthcoming Boys to Fame.

Paul Van Haute
Director of Photography
Four+ decade career as cinematographer and gaffer. Paul is the creator of the film’s visual look, blending contemporary urban cinematography with period recreations. Paul is the cinematographer of the documentary short Ten Times Better.

Wendy Cox
Producer
Wendy Cox is a seasoned film and television professional who was recently part of the production team for Apple TV’s Dope Thief. She has worked all over the globe as a Line Producer, Executive Producer, Production Manager, and Head of Production on films, television, commercials, and documentaries, and has held freelance production positions on features for New Line, Disney, Sony Screen Gems, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, Apple and Netflix.

Rona Buchalter
Archival Producer
Rona’s career stretches from media and news production to education and academic administration to immigrant services. Former Fellowships Director at Drexel University and Refugee Resettlement Director at HIAS-PA, Rona is the founder of the Neighbors Trust, a guaranteed minimum income project in Philadelphia.

Dan LaPorta
Sound Designer
Audio engineer Dan La Porta’s career is defined by pivotal contributions to award-winning, emotionally immersive film and media productions. He is dedicated to storytelling, integrating artistic passion with technical finesse, and committed to creating content of enduring integrity and historical significance.

Adam Rosenbloom
Editor / Visual Effects
Three-time Emmy winning visual effects editor, Adam created the motion graphics for Gradually, Then Suddenly: The Bankruptcy of Detroit. He is the motion graphics editor for MLB Tonight.

Anastasia Branas
Archival Assistant
Ana is a student in Pratt Institute’s Master’s in Information in the school of Library and Information Science, with a focus on archives. She graduated from Mount Holyoke University where she majored in English with a concentration in Museums, Archives, and Public History.

Prashanna Subedi
Production Assistant
Prash is a graduate of Drexel University’s Westphal College of Media Arts and Design. A filmmaker and editor, Prash has interned with Prime Video and Oracle.
